Osprey

July 2014 floating on a pontoon on the Grand River somewhere between the Webber Dam and the Shotwell Bridge (Ionia Co. Michigan) we had the pleasure of watching these two Osprey. I caught a few photos of them perched on the dead tree but when they took off together I clicked the shutter button as fast as I could and hoped I got something good. After downloading them I discovered I caught just one fairly good one of them together and that was when I saw the fish in the talons of the one on the left. I did some formatting in PhotoShop and printed one 8×10 but wasn’t very pleased and never did anything with them. However, ten years later we had a recent conversation with another bird photographer and I decided to try again with my newer computer and version of PhotoShop. After some serious cropping and a little magic with the PS assorted tools I am quite pleased with the final version.
