This year the Eastern Bluebirds had a brood in their bird house on the south side of our property but moved out shortly after the chicks fledged and started another family somewhere in the wild black cherry trees on the north side. I caught many (not great) photos of them bopping from the tree branches (featured photo) down to a field fence post on the corner of the dog’s pen. Wherever they are perched, we can hear their ever so sweet melodious and warbling bird song all throughout the day.

We have the pleasure of seeing Eastern Bluebirds throughout the year due to the land being rich in their favorite foods like Pokeweed (photo below right), Sumac, wild raspberries, and black cherry trees, just to name a few. (https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Eastern_Bluebird/lifehistory#food)
AND what a delight to see 6 of them all at once on the heated birdbath in the middle of a dreary winter day! Even better was actually catching them with the camera (Nikon D3100; photo banner above) and they were all holding still for just that VERY brief moment = SUPER CUTE!
